An Incident I Cannot Forget.

Last week my parents paid a visit to my grandparents house and I therefore stayed at home alone. Hence, I used to do all the housework. One evening Right after I had finished cleaning my room, I suddenly felt something burning in the kitchen. To my horror and surprise, the kettle on the electric stove was on fire. I was quite at a loss. I rushed to the switchboard to cut off the electric power but the house suddenly became as dark as pitch and the kettle turned so dazzling red that it looked just like a hot burning sun. My memory of this incident will remain fresh forever. |
