The Amazing Miss Shinies
Knew they were fantastic
But then they met the Shiny fanatic.
(And discovered they were famous!)
The Shiny fan seemed like them;
He wasn't approachable
And not at all sociable.
(His dark glasses were like watermelons.)
The most remarkable thing
That he was wearing was a half-crown
Made out of a pencil shaving.
(He'd eaten the other half.)
When he saw them beam,
Tears welled up in his eyes;
He would have liked to scream.
(But he swooned and fell.)
The Amazing Miss Shinies
Would have loved it of course,
If they'd had a nice horse,
(But they had to save him without one.)
Their fan, on the other hand,
Had it all planned.
He'd wait till he was fanned
(Then wake up, disoriented.)
The Shinies would observe
His perfectly pointy teeth
And autograph his feet.
(He'd got a permanent marker along.)
Then, they would insist
That he come sit on their fan.
He would protest, but they'd persist
(And he'd modestly accept.)
