Choice of bat
Ideally, a man of average height—say 5ft 6/7 inches—will find it comfortable to handle a bat 2ft 11 inches long and about 2.4 lb heavy. A school boy between 5ft 3 and 5ft 5 inches can easily bat with one, 2ft 9 inches long and weighing 2.2 lb.
