It was Tanish's first day at school in a new town and the class teacher had asked him to sit next to Raghu.
But trouble began as soon as the bell rang and class began. Raghu snatched Tanish's notebook and started scribbling something on it. When he returned the book, it had a caricature of a man with a big, bushy moustache.
At first Tanish did not understand what was happening, but it became apparent as soon as he looked up. Ravi sir, the mathematics teacher had a big moustache and it was his sketch that Raghu had made.
In between the class, Raghu started laughing hysterically. "What is the joke Raghu?" asked a *distraught Ravi sir. Raghu instantly made an innocent face and said, "Nothing sir, I was just looking at the drawing that Tanish made."
Ravi sir went up to their desk and peeped into Tanish's notebook. Needless to say, he was furious to see the page in the book.
"Is this what you do in school and that too on your first day?" he asked angrily. "I am leaving you with a warning today. But if you do this again, I will send you to the Principal's office."
Later Tanish learnt from other boys about the infamous Raghu. "He is a pain," said Aditya. "Every time there is a new boy in school he thinks of new ways to get him scolded by a teacher." "But why doesn't someone complain?" asked Tanish. "Because everyone's scared of him," said Naser. Tanish thought for a while and then said, "I think it is time to scare him in return."
The next day, Tanish invited Raghu and his other friends for a party at home. Raghu was not someone who would miss a good party. He arrived at Tanish's place on time. The other friends arrived soon after him. "Meet my parents and grandfather," said Tanish after everyone has settled. "Your grandfather?" asked the boys. "Oh! I forgot," replied Tanish, "You will not be able to see him."
The boys looked at each other in astonishment, but before anyone could say anything, Tanish's mother began serving cold drinks to them. Raghu took his glass and saw something inside it. "What is that?" he asked. "Looks like raisins to me," said Aditya. "But look they are moving!" shouted Naser. Raghu's glass had three raisins in it which instead of sinking to the bottom of the glass were continuously moving up, going down and then coming up again. "Not again, dadaji," said Tanish Raghu and the looking towards the empty seat.
