Treasure Out Of Trash With Indu 'n' Chandu

Author: Indu Harikumar | 28th Feb, 2008

The onset of spring motivates most. Spring has made many a poet. Let's see what the deft two are up to this spring.

Woah did they bring in the spring! What did they use?

An empty  ketchup bottle or any glass bottle

  • Water-based glass colours (Of your choice)
  • Tear-drop and circular diamantes
  • Sequins
  • Glue

How did they manage it?

Indu: Chandu was back at what he does best. As he wiped off the last trace of ketchup, he was beginning to feel a little scared of the consequences. So he said, Di how about turning this bottle into a little vase; maybe Mum will then forgive me for having emptied it.

Chandu: So we soaked the bottle in water for a bit till the paper came off.

Indu: You might want to wash the bottle. Of course we didn't have to do that because Chandu left no trace of the ketchup. Look doesn't it look sparkling clean.

Chandu: Di, let's focus on craft! We opened the water-based glass colours and let it trickle down. The colours we used were yellow, green and blue. Trickling down of colours is some sight to watch.
Indu: We let the colours dry and then it was time to deck it up with diamantes and sequins.

Chandu: Being so inspired by spring, flowers it had to be. To add in colour we sprayed in a few pink sequins here and there.

Indu: And look what we got!

Chandu: With a cutting of the bird of paradise, we are all set for spring.
