Author: Chandamama.com | 1st Sep, 2009

 You'll Need:

One empty mineral water bottle
A large piece of cardboard
A nail to punch a hole through the cap
A used ball pen refill
A strip of white paper
Small beads
Thread
A small piece of chart paper, glue, and scissors

Method:

1. Cut the top off the bottle carefully. Ask someone to help you with this step if necessary.
2. Punch a hole through the cap, so that the ball pen refill can pass through it.

3. Keep the cut top of the bottle on the cardboard and trace and cut out a circle.
4. Cut out a smaller circle from the same piece of cardboard and punch a hole through
its centre.
5. Push the refill through the cap and then fix the small cardboard circle. Anchor
it firmly by rolling the strip of white paper tightly around the refill on the top
half of the circle.

6. Close the lid with the refill inside the bottle.

Cut out the head and torso of a doll from the chart paper. String the beads on
the threads and stick them all around like a skirt. Make arms in a similar fashion
using the beads.

7. Glue the doll on the refill. Now place the entire assembly on
the larger cardboard circle and glue the bottle firmly on it.

When you spin the refill around, the doll will dance!
