McNamara’s most embarrassing moment

Necessity is the mother of invention. Guess how the first credit card came about? Way back in 1949, a man named Frank McNamara had just finished his meal at a restaurant when he made an embarrassing discovery – he did not have enough money to pay for his meal! Eventually, he had to telephone his wife to bail him out of the sticky situation. After this incident, he came up with the idea of the Diners Club, which was later to issue the first credit card!
