Chandamama was conceptualised by legendary filmmakers B. Nagi Reddi and his friend Chakrapani. Their reason for launching Chandamama was to familiarise the post-Independence generation with Indian tradition, folklore, mythology and history in the form of stories.
Chandamama has recently been acquired by the Mumbay-based Geodesic. Incorporated in 1999, Geodesic is a publicly traded company with offices in the US , UK , Sweden and Hong Kong . The company has developed the popular universal instant messaging system Mundu (www.mundu.com). Recently the company was awarded the Red Herring Small Cap 100 award – the only Indian company to be included in the Red Herring Small Cap 100 list.
Apart from a highly successful print edition and a rapidly developing online portal (www.chandamama.com), Chandamama is also foraying into films and video production with its bank of over 15,000 exclusive stories. Interactive books and CDs are also part of Chandamama's efforts to reach out, educate and entertain today's young minds. |

Kiran Kulkarni is a co-founding member of Geodesic and currently serves as its managing director. His past credentials include a 12 year stint at Aftek as an executive Board member. An expert in networking and web solutions, Kiran is the winner of The Indira Super Achiever Award - aimed at recognizing professional talent that has made a difference.

Prashant Mulekar

Prashant Mulekar has more than 15 years of experience in finance. Prashant is heavily involved in restructuring companies to turnaround and making them viable. He has worked with TELCO and SIDBI and was an independent consultant with various companies like Aftek Infosys Ltd., Hindustan Platinum Ltd. etc.

B Viswanatha Reddi
Viswanatha Reddi is the son of the founder of Chandamama, B. Nagi Reddi. He was the Under Sheriff of Madras for two terms and in 2007 was awarded the FICCI BAF Award for special contribution to Indian animation industry.

L Subramanyan
Subu has over 25 years of experience across publishing, market research, the VC industry, financial and software services. An MBA from IMT Ghaziabad, his first publishing foray was as Editor and then Chief Editor of the Dataquest group of publications. He was also founder and CEO of the B2B transaction portal, Industrialproductsfinder.com.

| B Viswanatha Reddi
Mr. Reddi has been editing Chandamama since 1975 and has simultaneously been involved in film, documentary and TV serial production. He has also produced interactive and educational CDs for rural schools.

| K Ramakrishnan
Accomplished editor Mr. Ramakrishnan is with Chandamama since 1991. He was previously editor of Children’s Book Trust for nearly 25 years and has served as jury for The Hindu Young World competitions from 1992-2000.

Mr. Bala has worked at Chandamama for the past two decades. He is involved in writing original stories, editing/proofreading content, and managing illustrations and translation.

Qualified as an M.Com, Ms. Sudha has been with Chandamama for the past three years. She is in charge of lay-out, typesetting, and syndication liaison for Chandamama in all languages.

Siva, Gandhi, and Mahesh have been a part of Chandamama for many years. They illustrate the much-loved stories that are published in the magazine.

Surajit has over 18 years of editorial and tech experience across, print, television and online media. He has been the editor-in-chief for Global Sources ( Manila , Philippines ) and Reed Business Information Asia ( Singapore ), and has launched several online portals.

Graduate in architecture and literature, Radhika has over five years’ experience writing and editing for children. She is the recipient of Highlights Fellowship 2004 and has worked at Highlights (USA), the largest circulated children’s magazine in the world.
